Even though this virus does not affect Macs (OS9 or OSX), I have been terribly affected by it. It seems that thousands of people have my email address on their computers. So, not only am I getting a huge number of these emails with .pif attachments but it is apparently sending out a ton of email that is masquerading as being from me. Compounding the problem are the number of emails that servers are sending me from all over the world trying to tell me that I sent a virus, which I most adamantly did not.
I think that my email provider finally put up a virus shield that stripped the .pif attachment to the emails, so that it is not overloading my server. I don't know what the solution is but I think that anybody caught writing these worms and viruses should be sequestered in a special jail to read the .pif files they created out loud. Wise. |

Though I did not use the computer as long as these mails have not been deleted? What a horror vision. Janet
