38 year old Rick Davidson will begin the trip of a lifetime June 3, 2005. He, along with a few friends, will leave Olathe, KS on June 3 bound for New York, NY with a destination of Burbank, CA 10 days later. This trip will be accomplished with Rick riding on a specially constructed trailer towed by a donated 2003 Anniversary Edition Harley Davidson Electra Glide.

Olathe, KS (PRWEB) May 4, 2005 -- Rick Davidson was injured 17 years ago in a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the chin down and relying on a ventilator to breathe for him. Beginning June 3, 2005, he will begin a Coast to Coast Motorcycle Trip for Spinal Cord Injury Awareness and Research.

The trip will be promoting bills and programs currently available to the disabled community, along with some that are waiting to be implemented. He also wants to display to the general population that having a disability is only a minor set-back in life and with the current research capabilities, his level of injury in no longer as severe.

The trip will consist of stops at Orange County Choppers, Ground Zero, Washington, D.C., the Oklahoma City National Memorial, and Burbank, CA, along with numerous others, for a total of 6,097 miles.

Rick Davidson to travel from New York, NY to Burbank, CA on a specially constructed trailer, towed behind a 2003 Anniversary Edition Harley Davidson Electra Glide, to promote Spinal Cord Injury Awareness and Research with emphasis on three bills to assist the disabled population.

Olathe, KS (PRWEB) June 1, 2005 -- When Christopher Reeve passed away, it left a huge hole in the heart of advocacy for the Spinal Cord Injury community and the disabled population in general. Rick Davidson wants to "step up" to the plate and bring the disabled population's needs and concerns back to light. In order to do this, he has orchestrated a Coast to Coast Motorcycle Trip to begin June 3.

Davidson, injured in a motorcycle accident at the age of 21, has lived at home for the last 17 years with home health care nursing. Due to recent changes in his family, he has to look at other options available. To his dismay, he found the system to be lacking in services available for the disabled to remain in their home and active in their community. After much research, Davidson decided to spotlight three bills currently under consideration during a Coast to Coast Motorcycle Trip for Spinal Cord Injury.
