Never Give Up... Never Surrender !

    I GOT MY QUADS BACK!!

Sitting in the passenger side of our van yesterday, I was working my lower back muscles to sit up straight and BOING! the big muscles in the front of my legs woke up!!

    It is so awesome!!

I worked them the entire 1/2 hr drive home!

This is such a MAJOR breakthrough!!

OH.. also, I've been working on strengthening my hands... and at Walmart, I reached up, opened my fingers and grabbed a can of Pledge!! That was a first!!

    What an exciting day!

I am almost 2 years post injury, incomplete C5-6.

I have been out of physical therapy 5 mos. due to Medicad's restrictions...that's an entire different story... so I have been concentrating on isometrics and just trying to strengthen muscles anyway I can.
Each time I think "Ok, fine, I guess I will have to accept living like this...have a good cry... something goes BOING!

SO.. NEVER GIVE UP... NEVER SURRENDER!!

Maybe a researcher can investigate BOING.

Yeah I don't miss "formal hospital/insurance rehab" one bit. I work with a trainer that has helped me develop a home routine that has made all the difference. I'd be willing to bet you have more connections that just need to be worked to strengthened. That's exciting to hear though, I go through periods of return-drought and like hearing these stories.

Great that must be a good feeling.

I'll be 27 years post on May 9th, still no motor function or sensation has come back. Still working on it though
