    Need more fiber?

If you can't find these at the local grocery store, Walgreens usually carries them. They're a pretty tasty way to get more fiber in your diet.

They come in oats & chocolate, caramel, and peanut butter flavors.

I great big giant puffy heart love Fiber One bars. They really do work and they taste better than many other means of getting fiber.

    I'm partial to the chocolate.

I've got a 5# bag of ground flax seed in my freezer which I'll add to most of my white rice dishes even if they've got other sources of fiber in them. The taste is pleasant and the texture is OK and the cost is about nothing per few tablespoons. Flax seed is a good source of nutrients as well.

I've got nothing against more expensive sources of fiber and don't knock them, Fiber One included, but my method supplies one of the most effective sources of dietary fiber for a very small relative investment. You buy a five pound bag of cut or ground flax seed and leave it in your freezer and that's all you'll need fiber-wise for a few years at least.

Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.
