Grammy, first you taught everyone here a lesson. NEVER go to a chiropractor who does not at least take xrays first.

And if you want someone who knows spines, spinal cords, MS, TM, lupus and all the rare disorders ask for Dr Doug Kerr at Hopkins in Baltimore. He is the Director or Co-director for the MS Center, TM Center and handles weird people like me and my spinal stroke. He only sees outpatients on Wednesdays because he's also a researcher and assistant professor at the medical school so appointments can take awhile to get. Start now.

Sue; The Chiropracter did take xrays, even saw my MRI. I wanted to quit until I saw a spine specialist to make sure it was ok to contine, but he demanded he "Knew what he was doing". I told him I was starting to get a "Tick", a few days later I told him I could not feel my bowls and bladder. My rt arm numbness got worse. Then I started loosing use of my left arm and the pain intensified to the point I had to quit working.

After several weeks not going back to the chiropracter for treatments I noticed my rapid deteriation stopped progressing! Several more weeks and I have gained a few inches of recovery. I can feel my bowls and bladder enough to go normally (as long as I am with-in 20 ft of a bathroom).

Sometimes, I think doctors forget they are not GOD, and try to act like they are! That chiropractor had told everyone in town he could "Heal" me and was determined to do it no matter what.

Grammy, I'd get an appointment with a neurologist or orthepedic doc out there as soon as you can. You may still benefit from steroids or that chiropractor might have caused something fixable if seen soon. I knew an ER doc who was injured and taken to his own hospital at Hagerstown I think. He'd been hit from behind on his bike by a car. He was a walking C4 last I saw him. It takes about 6 months to get into Dr Kerr. You'll also need an MRI probably after the chiropractor anyway so schedule now for Kerr and also sooner with someone out there. And get copies of both old and any new MRIs because Hopkins will want the originals and have been known to lose them... You keep the copies.

OH and for appointments with Dr Kerr his office's number is 410-502-7099. Glad some stuff is coming back. And with a doc's prescription a physical therapist can evaluate and treat the same things chiropractors do and they tend to know more about the nerves than chiros. They always think "correcting bones" will heal ya. I won't swear to it but I believe Maryland requires the same number of years schooling for chiros as they do PTs. You can probably tell I prefer PTs and MDs to chiros. LOL And Dr Kerr and his team are really good. He's my neurologist.

Wow, we have a very similar story. I was 100 pounds overweight and have lost 60 of it! I have the same symptoms as you with my thoracic stenosis mild from bulging at the T3-T4. I have your exact symptoms and they believe I have MS also. I am considered the mystery patient in town and my internist is quite intriqued. I thought I was having the "MS hug". However, I may be experiencing another neurological disorder (CRS right now) which causes the rib hugging and my pain all night long.
I also have a Positive MS panel which is basically elevated IgG bands showing an attack on my spine. I have optic neuritis. My last MRI said i had two bulging discs in my cervical spine. Says normal now and showed severe inflammation. I have every symptom you have listed plus I have one that is driving me out of my mind. I am getting massive and aggressive spasms on my right temple. Besides all the pain, now I have this to worry about. On top of it, the MRI states my case is mild. I then looked up central canal stenosis and it says there is a high rate of morbidity with this condition........l am frustrated also. I do not know what to do from here either. Add me as a friend. I do a lot of research and my Docs are getting kinda impressed lol.

If you have severe pain with the spasms, look up trigeminal neuralgia, and temporal arteritis in respect to MS. I believe myofascial pain is also listed in the MS symptom complex.
