    need help making a CD

I want to make a CD for David for Valentine's Day. Not a mixed tape but a recording of me talking since he cannot read anything I write. I want to read some of his favorite poems and tell him some stories so he can listen while he's alone.

The sound recorder on my laptop only records 60 second files which was ok for a ee cummins poem but not for some of the longer stuff I'd like to do.

Here's the question. Is there a FREE program I can download that will allow me to make sound files and burn them to a CD for him? TIA

I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit."

Take your pick, some are free, some arn't.

Do you have a burner? Most likely, As anything 5yrsand new do. After you get your "songs" done, make an audio CD using the burning software thats with your burner.

Thanks Guys! Since David cannot see or smell, I've recorded descriptions of some things he would enjoy... a sunset, some other things and I'll finish with some of his favorite poems.

Do I need to do anything special to these files to put them on a CD he can play on his boom box?

Just burn as an audio cd, as opposed to a data cd. And it will do it for you.
