In a small Allison Hill living room where midwinter sunlight floods through a windowed front door, a paralyzed young man dutifully goes about physical therapy in front of a big screen TV, which happens to be tuned to a shopping channel hawking $249 goose-down comforters.
And, zing! Michael Daniel lets fly.
"It's the time in our relationship where you step up," he declares to Heather Lenker, the therapist standing beside his wheelchair. "Buy me a comforter."
