    Cool e-mail availablity

I use Outlook Express with Windows XP and would like to know if e-mails I send can be traced back to me somehow? Even if I delete files, delete dbx files and don't have my server save them. Just curious.

    Anything can be traced back

    Define "traced back".

An individual email may be routed through many servers from its origin to its destination. Every server it's routed through will have a copy. Servers are backed up, so there will be multiple copies.

Yes. Your ip is on them. However a court order should be required to get access to the records.

This is why your computer life and real life should be the same. Despite the sense of animinity of the cyber world.... It doesn't relly exist.
