    Question 2008 New Years's Resolution~

Have you thought of your's yet?

I have several, but my #1 is:

Find a way to get to church.
The city bus doesn't run on Sunday,
and there's not any church in town
with a van with a hydraulic lift.
I've called every church in town.

    Exercising my upper body.
Finding a way to do Arobic exercises
    & raise my heart rate.
Working on my breathing, lung capacity.

I just sit all day & type on this pc.

    Also be a better person.
    Love others as God would.

    That's 3, I could list more.

What's your 2008 New Years Resolution?

    My resolutions are...*drum roll*

    1. Keep a stricter exercise program, I make too many excuses why I can skip it.

    3. Go out with friends more instead of turning ideas down because of sci stuff

    4. Get the courage to drive again

    5. Finish my associate's degree
Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow.

    I dont have resolutions but....

I want to find a volunteer opportunity close to me.

    Make more friends here.

Get out and enjoy the area more.

Continue eating right and losing weight.

I will also make a conscious effort to not dwell on the past. Its okay to look back every once in a while to see where I have been but I am going to leave the old hurtful memories where they the past.

    My 2008......

on my 2 boys. Do better getting involved with their lives. Do more stuff with them, challenge myself to step from the SCI-world, to the AB world. This means work, work harder at my recovery, work harder at being that DAD they had before my injury. Work harder on my relationships. Be a better, patient man, not the Ive had enuff jerk. Find my peace with htis damn injury. WHat that is, and how to accomplish that, who knows. But I cant let it continue to "paralyze" my life. Continue my Path with the Lord. Learn to know what this Christian has inside him, not what I want others to see. I want Christ to see inside me, and help me live the life I want to be in. Much to be done this coming year, best I get busy now.........

    1) To lose fear of both failure and victory

    2) To maintain inner stillness

    3) To let people be who they feel they must

    4) Less worry, more adventure.

To sort out a better work schedule.
Roses are red. Tacos are enjoyable. Don't blame immigrants, because you're unemployable.

I'm with you Lynnifer. If you noticed that was my first resolution on my post. I have read many of your posts and sometimes I feel like you're living my life on another galaxy. We seem to share so much, same age at injury, same post sci regression time at 25 years and same work related challenges. The only thing is I won't give away part of the rest of the story. Yours will be better. You're definitely much younger and much more aware than I was.

Resolution #4. Keep resolution 1-2-3. Let's all post again in this thread in March and discuss how far we are in achieving our resolutions.
