Has Canada forgotten "Its Place"? Project Runway Canada

Yeah, I've noticed you guys getting all uppity with your worthy little dollar...but you've crossed the line.

Your Project Runway Canada has humiliated us. Sure, we've got Heidi Klum (well, actually, we borrowed her). Yes, she is gorgeous and sexy and can be cold as ice. But y'all had the great good sense to borrow Iman. Could she be more statuesque, or exemplary of class, or just more completely ooze real high fashion, of the Not-Victoria's-Secret variety? Also the Bowie connection is much cooler than the Seal one, even though Heidi says he has an impressive package. (Really, Heidi? Why did we need to know that?)

Errr...and then there are your designers. I'd forgotten what PR clothes should look like. Bravo has sold out reality-TV style, gone for the drama and overlooked the design. I pray my beloved Tim Gunn has not allowed it, or I'll be disillusioned completely.

These damned Canadians, breaking out the hot pants and the ballgowns and the evening wear, producing real fashion that I'm forced to watch on youtube. This is a disgrace. They seem to have less manufactured drama also, although they speak some garbled language that makes it hard to tell for sure. Frenchy or some-such. I didn't notice any French version of the short gay guy crying whilst wearing an engineer's hat, which has made up half of American PR this year.

Just watch yourselves, neighbors to the north. Reality TV is a slippery slope. I'll be watching to see if you guys tumble to the abyss as quickly as we did.

To anyone wondering "What the hell is she babbling about?"-It's a reality show on Bravo. 100% addictive.

Why that's.... uhm.... treason! Damned Canadians! We should invade and take over their show -- in the name of democracy and reality TV of course.

I am such a PR junkie and I do hate that it's gotten away from fashion and focused more on the drama. I may be bored by the end of this season. The hat was driving me nuts Betheny.

At the risk of starting a fight, Tim (my sweet Tim) seems a little bitchy this season. I've been watching his show; Guide to Style, maybe that's where I get this sense.

Thanks, I'll have to scour YouTube for the shows.

OK Betheny, you've got me hooked. I went to the PR Canada website and clicked on "watch previous episodes" and got an "Sorry, This video not available in your country" How zenophobic is that? Verrry un-neighborly.

Iman is fab in her role but Brian is no Tim Gunn. But I like the challenges.

I hate watching 6.38 minutes at a time. How do you sort the YouTube clips so you can watch them in order?

I just type in the search at the top, like Project Runway Canada S1E1P1. The 6 minute at a time thing does suck LOL. We suffer, as Americans, don't we? I kinda like Brian but I can't peg him. I get a (gasp) HETERO vibe off him! I read Tim has been relationship free for 8 years. I think he's getting Warhol-esque.

haven't seen the canadian version but i'm addicted to the american version. the most talented out of the bunch is the isreali guy. i really want the yoga woman to go. the spitting thing was just too gross. heidi seems a tad meaner this season too.

You mean Rami? He really is pretty good. I think Elyse may be, deep down...under the spit. None of them hold a candle to those final 3 Canadians though, Sen, you should just watch the final episode on youtube. It's also cool because they live in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver so we can see where our Carecure friends live. One of them is from Sasketchewan.

I was honestly very impressed. It reminded me of the good old days.

Have you seen Jay's blog? Kinda funny commentary on this season:

Here is a Flashdance video Jack made which is hilarious. He nails the moves amazingly:
