    mona what dose of amitriptyline ?
    for pain management 2o mg in the evening sometimes works well. when they use it for depression the dosage is usually over 50 mg, i think 75 and 100 is common.
    you can get away with a lot less for pain management = lots less side effects. it is used a lot in conjunction with other meds like neurontin.

    I assume it wasn't 20 mg.
    More like 50-75 mg the way I felt.

    Don't think it's used for depression anymore. I'm taking 1/5 the dose effective for antidepressant purposes. If I took five times the dose I'm taking I'd be a zombie too.

    10 mg of amy at 8 pm and i woulds sleep great,
    the drug feeling is supposed to go away,, it never quite did for me, i still keep some around in pain really spikes, i always call my doc first to make sure it is ok, and mixed nicely with my current meds.
