    Mg frame wheelchairs

Given how extremely lightweight Lasher Sport's magnesium alloy frame wheelchairs are, why do you suppose no other manufacturers are building with it -- yet? Is Mg much more expensive than Al or more difficult to weld? Any informed wheelchair pundits care to weigh in on this?

    Yes to all your questions.

The potential weight savings is ovr shADOWed by the diufficulty/increased cost.

Ti is honestly the best choice due to it's properties. Strength and flex of steel, weight of Al... sorta.. Overall weight, Al is half as heavy, but also 1/2 the strength. This leads to the overall stiffnes of Al frames.

This is my professional opinion as a Metallurgist
