    Vesicare? Just saw an ad for it for overactive bladder

    Can someone tell me if this is different from Ditropan/Detrol? Side affects sounded eerily similar.

    edit: looks like active ingredient is diff from Ditropan XL.

    Solifenacin is an anticholenergic, in the same class of drugs with Ditropan (oxybutinin) and Detrol LA (tolterodine), but chemically more closely related to Detrol.

    Dosage is 5-10 mg. once daily, and dosage should be lowered for those with liver or renal impairment.

    As with all drugs in this class, the side effects are very much the same.

    Yet another variable in the bladder control hunt. I will add this and Sanctura to my memory banks.

    I just started an 8-10week oxy patch study.
