Hi Darrel - I know you wanted to print out a copy of how to do this ... did you get my PM?

When replying or starting a new thread (as usual) and then click on the 'paperclip' - look 12 o'clock up from where you're typing a message - you'll see a black & white smiley face, an arrow pointing down and then a small little black paperclip.

A new window will appear once you click on it. You'll see in small blue writing 'Upload a file from your computer.' Click on 'Browse' and find the file within your computer and double click on that file. Beside 'Browse' is another button called 'Upload'. Click on it once. Then select 'close this window' in the top right corner.

You'll see your picture after you click 'submit reply' as normal.

ETA (edited to add): You can obviously see all the other photos? For others, make sure your three choices under 'Thread Display' under 'UserCP' are checked (show signatures, show avatars, show images).

Happy Picture Posting! Anymore questions, just ask and I'll help!

However, most pics are hosted off site, on say Photobucket.

Then the link is pasted in, and the image shows up.

I just tried it again and it ended up down on attached file but that was as far as I could get ...did I turn left instead of right? or should I have just gone straight?

first make sure you know where the pictures are on your computer. (I always save them under "my photos")

go to www.imageshack.us and click the browse button.

select the picture you want to show and then click open.

click "host it!" on the imageshack page.

scroll down on the page. you will see on right side the option for "Hotlink for forums(1)" copy (right click and click copy) the information in the box to the left of it.

enter the thread and in the space to reply right click and click paste. the code will be pasted in the reply and as soon as you hit "submit reply" your picture will be shown in the thread...
