Picture of my Martin 16 Sailboat

These boats are super easy to sail for disabled persons, in my opinion this is the best disabled person sailboat ever made. The tiller is right there between your legs in the form of a Joystick or it can be reconfigured for Quadraplegics. The Sheet and Jib sail sheet lines are right in front of you on top of the keel. Note the Carecure.org lettering on the Main.

This picture was taken of me and my sailing partner at the last regatta I raced which was at lake george ny back around a month ago, I won the race, its good to finally get my name on that big trophy there.

Hey that's a great photo and you look right at home in that thing!

Mmmm...Very interesting. A sailboat...huh? Thanks Curt. We have a lot of big water here, and that looks like fun. I'll have to check out how much a Martin 16' costs.

Curt, have you heard any discussion about any attempts to build more Martin 16s since the factory burnt down? My understanding is that your only option now is to find a pre-owned one. Too bad, as it is a great boat and we have a nice little fleet of them in the sailing program that I volunteer with.

    Ala,

Do you know about Shake a Leg Miami? It's a sailing program for PWD. I understand that there is also a group in St. Pete that has an adapted sailing program.

    Curt,

Congrats on your success at Lake George! I raced a 20' Catalina "Independence" a short while ago. Got a second in one of the heats. Stable, easy to handle.
