My Son's Classmate murdered By Their Teacher

Jake, my son, graduated from this school last spring. Psycho-man was the drill sergeant at the alternative school. I'd heard about this affair, back when Bailey still went to school there Jake told me. You tend to not take high school rumors too seriously. I feel sick. RIP Bailey.

Crazy fucked up world we got here...

YUKON, Okla. (AP) - "The family of a 16-year-old girl stabbed to death by her 32-year-old ex-boyfriend and teacher says she left with the man in an effort to save her friends and family from harm.

Bailey Rian Thrasher was stabbed to death Saturday morning after she left her apartment with her shotgun-toting ex-boyfriend. The man, identified as Robert Paul Roberson, was shot and killed by Yukon police as he stabbed the girl inside a car.

Thrasher's aunt, Melissa Stringer, says Roberson broke into the teen's apartment and made everyone inside line up against the wall. She says Roberson threatened all of them before leaving with the teen.

Bailey's father, Darin Thrasher, says his daughter was just 13 years old when she met Roberson, who was a drill instructor at an alternative school in Yukon.

A romance began and shortly after, he says the two moved into an apartment together.

Darin Thrasher says the relationship grew volatile, and that Roberson threatened his daughter after she moved out of their apartment and into another with her sister."

Yep, that's what the paper said anyway, that her dad thought it would be good for her. Shudder, I'd hate to be in his shoes.

A romance began, and shortly thereafter, the two moved into an apartment together. Darin Thrasher knew better but said he thought the situation might benefit his daughter because Roberson didn't drink or do drugs and the father thought he would be a good example.
That was all he hoped for his daughter to find? Someone who didn't drink or do drugs? A pedophile in the family is OK as long as they're sober while they molest the children? Such high aspirations.

    So bloody sad.

I agree with everything that has been said. Such a shameful and sick tale!

That sounds like it came out of a movie. How disgustingly sad.

Three years ago, had any of Bailey’s family members, friends or fellow students that were aware of the illicit relationship between Bailey Thrasher and Robert Paul Roberson done the “right thing” and gone to the police, the sheriff or to the DHS, Robert Paul Roberson would likely still be in prison and Bailey Thrasher would be alive today.

who was running the school? i agree the family should have put an end to the relationship but the article sounds kind of harsh on the classmates

I agree, wtf. The man was an active pedophile, why was everyone looking away?

That is tragic and wrong in every imaginable way. Her father should have had a restraining order to keep that guy away from her three years ago, not condoned a sick and abusive relationship that victimized his own daughter. The police and DHS should have been involved far sooner. How many people knew about the relationship and did nothing?
