"Furriner" to America Looking for Shopping

I am looking for great shopping sites.

My son is off to university in one week (OMG) and before he leaves the two of us are doing a road trip from Toronto to ... ???? next week for the fun and the shopping ... of course he wants to spend my money before he leaves home.

Typically we have gone to the big outlet malls and adjacent shopping in the "mid-west" ... Birch Run, Michigan and Saginaw area.

Suggestions please and if you have any URLs even better.

I remember going to an awesome outlet mall - but this was years and years ago - just over the States'side at Niagara Falls? There was one on the Canadian side the last time I was there as well - but you know how that goes - lol.

What's your son taking at U? Excellent time to go shopping in the states for the dollar exchange! Practically at par! Wish it was me! Good luck!

ETA: By the way, pick a hot day because wheelers are able to board the Maid O' The Mist. lol

Roses are red. Tacos are enjoyable. Don't blame immigrants, because you're unemployable.

Thanks MIMIN ... at this point I am toatlly open to where we go. We both have one week of free time left before he goes to university and I have to be back to teaching duties.

So I am open to any suggestions and then we will plan this weekend.

I'm jaded to shopping in the States LOL, no help there. Just want to wish you, and him, a great trip and college experience too! My son is staying home this semester but going to the local jr. college. VERY exciting. Yesterday he got new clothes and a laptop, the week before that he got a car! He is liking college a great deal at this point!

And I'm so proud I may keel over...

What a surprise that you been to the Birch Run Outlet, thats about 20 min.s from where I live. Didnt know that place is known out in Canada. Have you tried Great Lakes Crossing? http://www.shopgreatlakescrossing.com/

Never been there myself but from those who have gone tell me its a great place to go to.

Stay safe my son. See you around thanksgiving!

    Thanks Robynbird569

We go through Flint from Port Huron after we cross the border.

Birch Run seems to be one of the bigger/biggest outlet malls and a lot of people from Toronto and Southwestern Ontario head there. It is only 3.5 hours not counting border time.

Maybe one day we will get to meet and greet!

    Cheers,
    William

P.S. Your daughter is a real little cutey and she is so bright as I have read in some of your posts!
