Looking for a better disposable leg bag

I am looking for a better disposable leg bag. I currently use the Bard 1000ml bags and, as other people have posted before, the way they package these bags often results in slow drainage that backs up and ruins condom catheters.

What I need is a disposable bag about 1000ml, which also has a drainage valve that I could work with my quad hands. The bards have a simple flip down valve that works well. I have no grip at all so complicated mechanisms won't work well. I get UTIs easily so a disposable bag helps keep bacterial levels down for me.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you find that they drain fast without backing up?

How difficult are they to open?

Jeff, a few things which you can also check to help ensure proper draining (which you may have already checked into):

    - position and angle of tubing AND the bag itself, on leg
    - check so the small flap inside bag attached to nozzle is flat and not folded/wrinkled up
    - make it you are clear of mucous and sediment (can also collect and clog up tubing and the bag nozzle, and flap)
    - make sure the condom itself isn't adhering together, preventing/inhibiting full drainage into tubing/bag.

conveen has a flip open valve like that, being female I have no idea if they drain well with a condom cath but i've never had a problem with them draining.

After the intial piddle, they run fine. The tube is't round, it's oval thus it can't kinked.
I've never opened them myself... cant get backup YET... but it's just a flip up/down open.

i had them recommended as i was always getting uti's. Got the bags and also left rehab so, not sure if it helped.

Side benifit is it's vented, so the bag hold no air.
