Does anyone use their handcycle on a trainer during the winter months?

sorry, didn't see this until now. I bought a trainer for mine. It works really great, gives you one HECK of a workout too. It is just hard for me to sit inside and ride, not as fun as outside. But if you can handle riding indoors, get one. They DO what they are supposed to. I have a Minoura 850 with a remote cable for changing the load. Bought it at http://tinyurl.com/j267q
Best prices from this place also.

I have the same one. No complaints here. I like it a lot, along with the cost.

Hey Captn. nice transfer video with the bike. I'd post one but I'm pretty quick on getting on and off my bike. Even loading the thing in and out of my van. Keep on adding up those miles. I can't wait, it's supposed to be near 75 or 80 here tomorrow. I'm thinking of heading on downtown (about 1 hour drive) and riding the bike along the lake and beaches. Looking at all the ladies. I average about 30 miles in about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

I had that model a couple of years ago. The plastic around the roller cracked and got worse and worse until it fell apart. Not sure why this happened unless it came cracked that way and didn't notice it. Do you use the riser's for the back wheels?

    Hey V D

If I drive back to Florida anytime soon my bike will be with me. I could swing on through Louisiana on the way and we could go for a long spin around the area.

I drove right through Tennessee where Captn. is from last Sept. I should of told him I was coming through and we could have met up.

Yepper, when anybody gets near to the hut, gimme a heads up, so we can get together. When I get the chance to hit the road again, my tricycle is going with me. Almost took it to the beach last year, even started riding to get in shape on time. Wanted to see what riding on flat land was like.
That trip is coming up late next month again, we plan on taking all our bikes this time. My brother and his family live in Houston. Been meaning to get back down that way, funds limit me. When I do come down, you can bet your c00naRse I'll stop in on ya Geno. Quite a few of you folks are down there. I have driven across La over 40x. I'm pretty familiar with it. Ex has folks in Layfayette. Considered buying a place there.Me n her Grandpop got along like twins.

I never elevate the rear wheels. Since I live in the mountains, it was not really noticeable. Only complaint besides not fun, was leg placement. I folded a small towel for each leg. I have 3 DVDs of some great bicycle routes in Palma, Spain 63 minutes (been there),Marmotte, France (Alpine Classic) 90 minutes and the Lombardy Tour in Italy 90 minutes also. Been there, but not where the ride is. It is filed from a vehicle so you see nothing but the road and scenery. Even pass some cyclers here and there. They give you resistance settings for the hills, you can alter the speed of the film also. With a few selections as to where the ride starts, you can vary the length of time your ride is. They are ACTUALLY for Tacx and a few other trainers, I just use the resistance settings that I need. My bro in law got them for me.
He has a Tacx that his avatar onscreen does as he does, including turns.
