    As for the nerve toxisity, this is temporary and can be reduced by temporarily stopping usage until the effects disappear.

    The term dichloroacetate refers to the anionic component of dichloroacetic acid. If you remember your organic chemistry, an organic acid is composed of an organic molecule which dissolves in water to form an anionic component and a hydrogen ion.
