    Beyond Methylpredinisone???

When first injured, is there yet a new standard within the critical 12-48 hours
in conjunction with, or separate from methylpredinisone?

Nope. No ones introduced anything better to the market in over 15 years. There's been a lot of talk, but nothing new. Dr. Borgens is hoping his OFS system replaces it but that's still in clinical trials.

    Mdx-1100

There is an acute injury drug treatment called MDX-1100 that is in clinical trials or getting ready to go to clinical trials soon by a companty called Medarex according to an article in the fall issue of "Spinal Connections" by the Reeve Irvine Research Center. The article is titled "From Bench to Bedside". They are doing some promising work for chronic injuries also.
