Question Need Some Help..Have a few questions

My fiance was in a motorcycle accident in May of 2006 and is a t/6 t/7 para.

I have been searching the internet high and low for all kinds of information and was wondering if anyone here can help.

    Here are our questions:

    1) Does anyone know how to obtain a grant from the government or elsewhere for aggressive rehabilation programs? I have found (2) places one in Michigan and one in Ohio. My fiance currently has medicaid and I have considered submitting an application to them just to see what the answer would be but I can't take the disappointment of them telling me no.

    2) Does anyone know how to obtain a grant or low interest loan for a home? We really want our own home (currently living in parents basement after being on our own for 5 years..kind of frustrating) and had plans of building a home right before his accident.

Thank you all soo much for taking the time to read and for any information you can provide.

Jenn: I assume the one in Michigan is RIM? If so, contact them and explain what funing issues you have. They work very aggressively in getting you the funding you need. Don't let fear of rejection stop you from looking. RIM will work with your insurance and other methods. Very nice group of folks.

Where in PA do you live? I was surprised to see locally in N MD, that Habitat for Humanity is looking for low income families who want help with a home. The kicker is that you have to have lived here for 1 year.

Maybe you can check with Habitat for Humanity in your county. I have a number of different types of resources, shoot me a PM and I will be happy to help.

I too need info on maybe getting some funding for rehab, I live in Missouri thou I am hoping, I too only have medicaid am a T-7 para incomplete, my thoughts are if there is a possibilty that we can get well again or recover then why not give us a lending hand to try and accomplish this instead of leaving us hanging.. Any advice for me would be so greatly apprciated as well ..
