    Sci C4/5 Rehab Info Search

I have had a Baclofen pump installed to help reduce pain, spasticity and improve mobility. Results to date (7 months) have been minimal. Will I be able to use the Baclofen pump to introduce other chemicals to my spinal canal? Got any suggestions? DMSO? Human Growth Hormone??

    Hi,

Other medications than baclofen that are delivered intrathecally are morphine and clonidine. I recall them using the Medtronic pump as well
in the past. There are strict protocols with these pumps for obvious reasons. I'd check with your physician to see if this is possible.
Here is an interesting discussion about medications and pumps.

Thanks. I'll be on a clonidine info hunt.
