picked up some kind of virus or sumthin

its showin up in the bottom right corner. ive run virus scan, adaware free, spybot s&d, even tried starting in safe mode an it still comes up down there. checked msconfig an theres nothing new in there. usually you can right click on things down there an it'll give ya the option to close it or turn it off. when i either right or left clik it, it brings up a page to order/download...:virus burst:

it's for some kind of anti-spyware software but it has given me something i can't get rid of.

    any suggestions out there.?

it keeps poppin up in the system tray, sayin....."critical system error...virus detected on your computer".

    yea.....it's the virus.

Eek.... njot to sure exactly what you mean, more info would be good.
Download Hijack This and run it. It's not an install so its safe.

Copy and post the log and It will show EVERYTHING going on in your computer. From there we might be able to help you.

yea, i've restarted a few times since. i just didn't think to try restore at first. it was gettin late an my brain wasn't at full capacity, lol.

it was my bad, bein careless. i was on a site kinda like youtube, watchin videos an i needed to install something to view one. i've done it before an just uninstall it when done. well...i didn't read an just clicked this time. i went an uninstalled the program but that lil bugger in the system tray had done made himself a home....or so he thought, hehe. stuff like that keeps me entertained, except when i end up having to reformat. thats when i start hittin my forehead, cussin myself an gettin pissed.

food for everybody's thought.......ALWAYS read well before clickin install.
