    Anyone know how to rip movies?

    Does anyone know how to rip movies to the hard drive?

    You need a ripper, search Tucows.com as well as usually a copright cracker.

    DVD shrink is all you need. It will put the movie on to the hard drive and then if you want to put on to a DVD, it will compress the film for you. An absolutely brilliant programme, and what's more, it is absolutely free.

    The only drawback, it is illegal in the United States. You're not allowed to advertise on United States website so you'll have to look for it on a European site. Or, I think I may have it here

    i use DVD X Copy Express... it compresses and burns in just 3 clicks.. love it.. i have an external hp burner from my laptop.

    DVD X would be my first choice, but it is extinct. I use DVD Decrypter which was put out of business by the Motion Pictue Industry (but you may be able to find a copy by searching the Net), and I also use DVD Shrink for burning. However, I think Shrink will also be on the endangered species list shortly.
