Eli Neiderhiser is used to battling life's most difficult challenges. When his parents died several years ago, he assumed guardianship of his youngest sister. Now, he is battling a spinal cord injury that keeps him bound to a wheelchair. Doctors once compared his condition to that of the late actor Christopher Reeve, who was paralyzed after being thrown from a horse.
