    corn/hard, dry skin on foot

I have what looks like a corn on the sole of foot. It is a hard area of dry skin about the size of a pea. The only worry is that it is just next to the area I had a pressure sore a year ago. The area is not hot or red though. Should I trust a chiropodist to come and tend to it without knowing bout sci?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

A reputable chiropodist (called a podiatrist in the USA) should be able to assess this and advise you. I would not have any surgical intervention without checking with your SCI physician though. It could be a plantar wart or a callous. If it is a callous, you need to look at your footware as this would indicate excessive rubbing and pressure.
