    stuffed shrimp

i just thought i'd pass this one along, when i've served this everyone loves them. i came up with this recipe after not being able to find a recipe that i liked. hope u all enjoy!

12 large shrimp - prawns* if u can find them
    1 can lump crab meat
    15 - 20 club crackers
    handful of shredded cheddar cheese
    1 tbs. salt-free seafood seasoning
    2 squirts of lime juice
    4-6 squirts of worcestershire sauce
    1/2 cup miracle whip
    1/2 stick melted butter

    preheat oven to 450
clean shrimp and butterfly...lay them down on cookie sheet type pan
crush club crackers in a bowl...u don't have to pulverize them
    add crab meat...split chunks
add all other ingredients...if after adding all wet ingredients mixture isn't wet enough add a bit more m/w...small amounts at a time
now take heaping spoonfuls of stuffing mixture and place on top of split shrimp. after all r complete pour butter over tops of shrimp. place shrimp in oven...watch for tails to curl up and turn red. u don't want to over cook shrimp...when u over cook shrimp they get tough. approx 20-25 mins.

    GOOD LUCK!

prawns* - these r a huge type of shrimp...can be very pricey but taste just like lobster.

They sound delicious, stromie, but I can't see myself making them. My philosophy is "Eat to live; don't live to eat." I like to keep my food simple; if I enjoy it too much I'll be far more tempted to overeat than if it's just tasty enough that I keep on eating until I'm not hungry any more.

I do like a few choclate chip cookies, though, to round out the day.

i had a feelin someone might think they were a bit over the top...i agree. the only thing that makes them a bit rich is the butter. other than that i use salt free everything. the crackers rn't that bad, and i use m/w light...also the cheese is reduced calorie. some people don't like cooking/eating reduced calorie or light stuff but i figure that way i can enjoy a bit without going over the top.

i love to cook juke that's the problem...hence why i exercise and so does jim. when i do make them we only eat 3 and then do some laps around the block...lol as for the tobasco van...that's what jim adds to them when he's ready to eat.

oh yeah...juke...i'm a sweet eater myself...love chocolate cookies. i'd do just about anything for chocolate...ssshhhhdon't tell

van damn...i got jim these awesome - at least that's what he says - chocolate bars made by dove. they're called "CocoaVia" and they come in different kinds. he's tried the granola and the plain chocolate bars. on the package it says it promotes a healthy heart. of course u shouldn't go eating 5 bars at once...lol basically it helps satisfy his chocolate carving.
