Thread: lungs??

    i've done some searching but i can't find specific definition and was hoping some here could clue me in. some or most of you already know i'm a para, but what does it mean that i "have the lungs of a quad"? i remember the docs all tellin me this during rehab and never quite understood what they meant. thanks in advance.

    in order for you to have lungs with full functional capacity you need fully functioning stomach, deep chest and internal/external intercostal (most important) muscles. most quads and high paras don't have these, so a para can have his/her hands, but the same reduced lung function as a quad
