Well when you say that myspace is a cesspool, one might think that is what you are insinuating?

Anyway, the bad press is just like when the internet first became very popular and chatrooms were labled dangerous (which they can obviously be). Stories of victims sells more papers then the good news of people finding their high school sweethearts.

Myspace is bad for kids. If you talk to your local law enforcement agency they will tell you. I live in a small town (less than 15,000) and they have hired an officer who does nothing but patrol the internet. They have done numerous school programs about the dangers at my daughter's school. I am only saying this about the kids......Law enforcement in my town just charged their first case of internet stalking. They also discovered we have gangs in our small high school. The bloods/crips and officers know which kids are involved because of myspace. It is scary when you think of your 13 year old daughter having all that information out there for anyone to view. The internet officer also picked a girl out of our HS at random and brought her on stage during a program. He proceeded to then tell her things he knew about her, personal things that she couldnt believe he knew......It was a very eye opening experience for my daughter.

I agree if you are an adult myspace is okay. I think it is a good site for people to meet other people.

Just my opinion from a parents experience and point of view.....

Whoa, that's not what I was implying, why you feeling guilty about something? I was just saying did all your friends leave because somebody was killing little girls and thought they were at danger?

i apologize if that wasn't your implication.. no guilty feelings.. yes, several of my friends kids and possible thousands+ after the airing of the investigations. one case in particular where the girl was kidnapped, tortured, then killed.. she had her full name, school name, school schedule, and after-school routine posted, but never realized that she would be in any danger.. during Dateline's investigations, they found alot of girls that had this kind of info. provided for anyone.. everyone knows how provocative these young teens are being with their pics. and info.. i blame the parents for their page, but nothing wrong if you are older and more responsible.. to an extent..

I had the same problem at first. Just keep checking the my space customization web sites for different codes. I tried a couple before I found one that actually worked. All those custom my space HTML sites look the same. Hard to remember where I got anything from now.
