Thread: Some vids

    Some vids

I thought I would post these before I leave to Russia. The are just some various clips of me doing therapy stuff ranging from like 9 to 55 sec (200ish to 1,100 kB respectively). They are pixely because I compressed them to make them very small, but you can still easily see what is going on! Maybe they will be of some help to someone.

Floor transfer- I posted this on the floor transfer thread but here it is again:

Getting in and up in the glider (easystand 6000):

PS- if anyone has any other requests let me know, I can record it and put it up when I get back. Ill probably eventually do assisted situp, getting in/out of car, getting on/off fourwheeler/mower, pullups. I dont know. Whatever else anyone can think of.

Thanks Jeff........they are a million miles from what I can do but I always enjoy seeing other people's techniques - they still give me ideas about hand placement etc.

Good luck in Russia. Bear in mind that I would be happy with a 'cure' that would give me your physique and strength (although you obviously work out what you've got). Sod my legs. I know I wouldn't think this way if I were you though

Hey man, You look like a shit brick house son! hah keep it up!

When u were doing min to max stand up, ur back curves just like mine. Do you have enough abs to do a sit up/crutch? I still can't do either but it seeems my core has goten stronger through other exercises.

    Awesome job!

Could you save them somehow for download, w dialup the streaming videos are next to impossible?

RehabRhino ~ my goal is to help anyone in anyway I can! If any one of those videos gave you a little insight, then a job well done!

Haha- trust me you always want more! I know I do!! Once you accept mediocracy all will become stagnant. I like this quote:

"Only the mediocre are always at their best."

Nicotico ~ right now the glider is my main source of cardio. I like it because it is 1) cardio 2) weight bearing and 3) lessens my spasms for a time! I do both the Motomed and glider and it is hard to compare as each does something different. If I was limited to one I would pick the glider. I like being upright and its good cardio (gotta keep that heart in shape too!).

Mr_Coffee ~ thanks! Lots of lifting. I noticed how much my back curves after watching those videos. I can actually let go of the bars and stay upright with my back curved like that, I cant if I keep it straight up (it keeps my hips forward). I can do a crunch and am getting much closer to doing a situp. I agree with you, I think my core too has gotten stronger from other exercises.

    dan_nc ~ thanks!

Jimmer ~ as soon as I post this message I am going to get on my google control panel and hit the check to make them available for download! My bad! EDIT: All videos are available for download!

    -Jeff.

Anything else anyone wants to see?

    Transfer

Hey, Thanks for sharing vids. I hope to practice what you're doing and go floor to chair too!

Regarding cardio, hand biking hits me pretty hard, although I know what you mean about weightbearing. My elliptical trainer feels like I'm stomping down, but I'm suspended. I hope to be using p-bars and kafos soon. Pat

I'll think of some videos for you to do. Since I am a high quad seeing people do things like you just shown look astonishing.
