    The darn bolt

What do you use to 'save' the metal thresholds for your doorways leading outside, say through french doors? Ours are getting chewed up pretty badly from the bolt under Dennis's chair - bolt for locking the chair down in the car.

It seems like there should be something out there but we have not found anything yet.

    Thx.

We had the easy-lock raised so that I could use a shorter bolt in my chair. We used longer bolts to attach the easy-lock which allowed us to use nuts as spacers under the easy-lock. Hope that makes sense.

Just using nuts or washers as spacers could be dangerous. I'd recommend getting plates made. It's very easy to do, and structurely much safer.
