    If your just practicing, try the projection hand rims, or the cheap solution just wrap surgical tube around the rim at 2in spaces. I use this and it just enuff of a ridge to get a decent push. Downside is stoppings alittle rough.

    this is the type i use also. these are the best quad gloves i've used so far an they are the cheapest too.....
