    Oops, my bad. You're right. I tried typing in "spinal cord injury awareness week" and "scia month" and found different sites so there does not seem to be a universally agreed on week or month...atleast none that I could find.

    It accually is September in several states.

    as for a political thing it's fairly easy for your govenor to do this.

    September is National Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.

    I've seen it listed in quite a few places, but this calendar lists all the awarenesses you could possibly think of.
