burning pain in back of knees

Does anyone experience this? Can anyone explain why?

My wife has an uncomfortable feeling like there's metal rods pushing at the back of her knees, and often asks me to massage them. Unfortunately, the massage has no effect. Sometimes moving her legs (exercising the knees) helps. Sounds like a similar problem to yours; sorry yours hurts.

I will have to ask the kid, but I think when he pulled a hamstring a few years back, it caused that sort of pain.

And yes, rom throughout the day eased with the healing of it~ the docs were suggesting botox for relief... ummm, no way.
