Marianjoy Medical Group Expanding; Adds Three New Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists

WHEATON, Ill., Dec. 29 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Marianjoy Medical Group is expanding its practice by adding the following Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists to its practice.
Noel Grandas, M.D., will provide rehabilitation to patients at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton. Dr. Grandas recently completed a Clinical Fellowship in spinal cord injury at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he assessed and treated medical complications of patients with spinal cord injury. He also completed a Clinical and Research Fellowship from 2003-2004 in pulmonary medicine from the Harvard School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Grandas earned his medical degree from the Universidad Industrial de Santander in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Dr. Grandas participates in many insurance programs and can be reached at 630-462-5581.
Christopher Parnell, D.O., will treat patients with rehabilitation needs at Marianjoy at Oakbrook Terrace. Dr. Parnell earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California and completed his residency at Wayne State University. In addition to general rehabilitation and pain management, Dr. Parnell's clinical interests include musculoskeletal medicine, occupational and sports medicine, spinal injuries, electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG) and interventional physiatry. He has been involved in conference presentations on the West Nile virus, critical illness myopathy, and neuropathy. Ricardo Senno, M.D., will treat patients with rehabilitation needs at Marianjoy's outpatient clinics at West Suburban Hospital in River Forest and Rush Oak Park Hospital in Oak Park. Dr. Senno earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Rockford and was the Medical Director of Brain Injury Medicine and Rehabilitation Program at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago before coming to Marianjoy. He is a board-certified physiatrist and speaks fluent Spanish. In addition to general rehabilitation, Dr. Senno's clinical interests include brain injury medicine and stroke. He is an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago and has been involved in numerous research studies involving the Terry Schiavo case, traumatic brain injuries, and orthotic management systems.
