    Thumbs up Dried Cranberries

I just ordered a pound of these (along with a some other goodies) from Sun Organic yesterday:
    http://www.sunorganicfarm.com/Mercha...de=bestsellers

they're $10.50 an lb. It's a good site and worth checking out.

Oh, I love dried cranberries, dried cherries, too. I use both as snacks or add them to salads (those little bags of fresh spinach greens) with feta cheese crumbles. The dried crans are delish.
That's a great price. Thanks for the share.

Just be careful...dried fruit can give you the runs in large amounts, and they are packed with calories.

Yup... love dried crans. I have them here...when i have a sweet tooth i get a handful of crans, raisins, or dried fruit of some kind instead of reaching for chocolate. The majority of my weight loss has come from decisions like that.

Thanks for the heads up, SCI Nurse. I've just stopped taking Imodium most days after reading what you wrote about extra fiber helping to "gel" things. I don't want dried fruits to mess things up again.

This is a site I've ordered from twice now and they have good stuff at fantasitc prices, particullarly if you buy in bulk although it's not necessary:

    http://www.bulkfoods.com/search_resu...hParamTxt=1036

The link goes to their cranberry page where the prices are better than they are at the organic site:

    1 lb. for $7.98

    5 lbs. for $24.58

besides which they have a fantastic $5_ flat rate shipping and handling charge.

It's the least I could do for someone who so generously gave me shit when I asked for it.
