Hi, Birdy, and welcome.

My husband of 11 months is a c5-6 incomplete quad, 22 years post injury. He requires little care, he was living independently for the most part, before we met. I have spoiled him a little, though and taken over a few things he used to handle himself. Even so, sometimes it can be overwhelming, working 40 hours a week, taking care of the house, the yard. Can't seem to get it all done, and feel guilty about that.

That being said, I must tell you I am the luckiest woman in the world. My man is the greatest, and I love him with everything I have in me. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Just know there WILL be feelings of frustration at times. You will feel you've taken on too much. You will ask yourself, what have I gotten myself into? Then you will look into his eyes and all of that will be forgotten. Don't ever give up on him.

If you ever need a cheerleader, feel free to email me.
