    Botox Question?

Is there a problem with getting botox injections in my calf for foot drop?

I get botoxed in my gastocs so that I have a little dorsiflexion (ability to pull toes up) about every three months. I hate to tempt fate by typing this, but it works really, really well for me. I have cerebral palsy, and am a sometimes walker, but mostly a wheelie, for what it's worth. I'm glad I've done it, and am considering an achille's tendon release to replicate the effect of the botox more permently.

    Should clarify...

The botox will only help your situation if your foot drop is due to spasticity. Also, it's possible to develop antibodies to botox. Some people find that the injections are no longer effective after a few rounds... this is due to antibody formation.

Well im thinking its due to spastisity. Its constantly pointing down. Im kinda able to dorsiflex, very little tho. I had a SCI 3 n a half years ago. C-5,6 fused at c-4. Im a full time walker.
