This technique has given me better Bowel Movements

    Hello All,

    I am C6-7 complete for (29 years).....every other day I take a MB
suppository to empty my bowels. This has worked fine, but I always
thought that I was not evacuating my lower rectal vault 100 per cent. A
few months ago I bought the new Oral-B MicroPulse tootbrush and my teeth
have never look better. This toothbrush has a small battery in the
handle and slowly vibrates the bristles of the brush. It works similar
to an electric toothbrush, but without the hassle of chargers and
electrical cords. It's disposable and after 3 months the battery goes
out and you just throw it away.......there only 5.99 a piece.

One day a while back after having my normal BM, I grabbed the MicroPulse
and started brushing my teeth. I accidentally dropped it in my lap and
it landed on the tip of penis. I left it there for a few minutes and the
low vibration caused a bowel/bladder contraction that made me evacuate
even more........even though I thought I was finished. I have since been
using this technique and my BMs are least 50 per cent more then
when not using this technique........man do I feel great. Just holding
the vibrating brush in your hand helps, putting it up against your
blander helps, anywhere on your penis is good.

I am not saying this will help everyone, but it has made a difference in
    my life.

    Ronnie,
I just met Pat Rummerfield (he was signing autographs) last Sunday at John Force’s spectacular car show. Rummerfield is a wealth of SCI knowledge and info. He talked about vibration, something that Dr. McDonald is looking into. For all that he has accomplished he’s a very humble guy.
He called it vibration therapy and from what he said it just takes a slight continues vibration to do the job. Something about astronauts and NASA were doing or did a study. Heck who knows vibration might be part of the puzzle.
    Thanks Ronnie for the info!

Does it work for people with cauda equina injuries, i.e. L3 and L5 burst fractures?

How long did you have it vibrating?

weimin, this thread is from 2005 and the original poster hasn't been on CC in two months, so you may not get an answer.

Mike, A&E ran a show called "Obsessed" about people with OCD. One of the women profiled used an electric toothbrush to clean herself out after bowel movements -- I still squick out when reminded of it.
