X Core Axles

I bought some xcores on ebay but they came without axles.
I currently use spinnergies on a standard Tilite ZRA. All my old axles are too short.

I measured the hub of the xcores and they are 5mm wider than my spinergies but I cant find any distributors here in SA and spinlife wanted to charge me $80 plus shipping for new axles. They've been excellent in the past but shit ...

First, does anyone know the exact size I need and second, any of you guys have a spare pair lying around that I can buy? I'll pay for all costs obviously.

Phil,go on WCJ site search xcore.There are only 4 hits.Terminator axles
but i couldn'get specs.

I run XCores on my A4 with an axle length of 135 mm.

Hey man, have you found your axles yet?
Dont pay 80 bucks for them, there are online places to get them cheaper. I got a set for about 50 bucks. If you can't find any cheaper, say so and I'll find you an online place and post the link.

Ok... currently Tilite ZRA running Spinergy rims.
Are your current axles the standard 1/2" diameter size and the axel is too short.

Also look at the treaded section of your axel. There is a nut on there that you can adjust to make your axle longer/shorter to fit the hub. Can you adjust that nut so it is closer to the release button? If you notice, I have about 5mm adjustment space.



Here's mine: It's adjusted almost all the way out to accommodate my Sun rims. For my Spinergies, it's too long. I could get a second set of axles or adjust that nut. I just use a spacer to take the play out.

If you are not planning on doing the hot swapping like I do, can you just adjust that nut?

The axles I'm using with my spinergies are very short, only 105mm in total length, 95mm from beginning of thread to the beginning of ball.

The xcores are 60mm wide.

I was unable to measure the width on my spinergy hubs due to unco-operative quad fingers , this is now the X Factor!

So I'm left with needing an axle this long :
60mm + (95mm - Xmm)

I assume that x cores come in different widths? as I am not familiar with them. Do they have any model # or such that we can use it to email the manufacturer to get the needed info? I'll head to their site and see what I can Find out, can't be too many different sizes I hope. Can you post any pics of them or give me the old ebay link where ya bought them? Might be able to ask seller what he has. Throw me a bone AO and I'll help ya buddy!
