    Lightbulb bowel question

I'm having a hard time emptying out completely on the toilet. i've been going about half in the toilet then going and having my bowel program completed lying down. i dunno why but its almost like when im sitting up the sphincter tightens up and doesnt allow stool to pass through. i do dig stim myself and use a dulcolax suppository. any suggestions?

You could just try doing your bowel care in bed, I suppose, though that might be kind of yucky. You could try adding some senna or milk of magnesia about eight hours before your bowel care to see if that helps you empty faster. Let's see what other suggestions people have for you.

    Hi,
You can also try Magic Bullet supositories. It helped me so much.

i had the same problem for years. everyone says the best position is sitting, but i never found it that way. so i switched to doing my routine in bed and it's much more efficient. i'd prefer to do it in the bathroom, but hey, this is what works for me. besides, i can watch tv to keep myself occupied and i'm more comfortable lying down than sitting on a commode.

    difficult bowel

i'm sure i'm the king of bowel trouble. for sure i obseved it much more unsuccesesful to go sitting upright. my bowel pressure would build to unhealthy levels before releasing, and often bloody results. narcotics and ditropan just magnify the hell.
the only success i get is to start the bp in bed using a magic bullet, and then allow its completion in the shower with digistim. my sphincter becomes impossible to get by.
it is painful and disgusting. it is also why i lose so many caregivers.

    magic bullet

    a few magic bullet questions-
1)whats the difference between magic bullet and the ducolax suppositories?
2)where can i get them in the la area?
3)i use the glycerin with the ducolax, do i still need the glycerin with the magic bullet?
    thanks

For me, using Magic Bullet is great: 20-25mins and evacuation begins instead of 2 hours minimum with ducola.
    I don't use glycerin anymore.
You can get it there: http://www.medexus.ca/
    or directly by e-mail: barbara.blackadar@hyalgan.ca

A Magic Bullet (TM) suppository is a Dulcolax (bisacodyl) suppository in a special base that is water soluble. Consequently it disolves much faster than normal Dulcolax suppository does. It therefore works both faster--causing better results, and shorter--causing fewer accidents.

You don't need to use glycerin if you are using some bisacodyl suppository.

With magic bullet, I always use half-suppository. That's enough for me.
