What is the lifespan of a handicap equipped vehicle?

What is the lifespan of a handicap equipped vehicle? Should the
insurance company pay for maintenance, repairs etc.?

I would imagine that just like any vehicle or any machine, it will last as long as you keep it maintained.

They don't do this for regular vehicls, why should they do it for HC equipped vehicles?
Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.

I imagine just like any other, with attention to quicker wearing brakes due to the increased weight, along with rust issues with the floor modifications (I would think in rust belt states).

My 95 Ford has more than 220,000 miles on it, and there's no end in sight as long as we take care of it. I have other friends who are driving vans that have well over 350,000 miles on them.
