    Spinergy Spox Spokes

America West was so gentle and kind in handling my wheelchair recently, that I need to replace a few spokes! I contacted Sportaid.com, but they need to know if my hub is wide or narrow. How do I tell which one my hub is?

Your hub is where all your spokes meet in the middle of the wheel.
Nothing to lose, everything to gain.

measure from outside edges of your hub then give sportaid the measurement,.

The girl I spoke with didn't even know what the hub was (though I did), she didn't have any measurements for me to compare my own with! I wonder if I could contact Spinergy????.......

You might have some luck dropping by a local bike shop to see if they have the correct spoke in stock, or can at least help you figure out what spoke length you need to order.

It's disappointing that Sportaid couldn't determine your hub type based off the measurement's. I'd contact Spinergy, they should be able to supply the correct info. I need to replace a couple spokes aswell, so keep us posted on your findings.

Weird, I wasn't aware that they made different hub widths. The only options I had when ordering them with my chair was a sport hum or an every day hub. The only difference is the sport hub has more spokes.
Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.

they are checking for the old hub style, the recess is different where the bearing seats on the axle. and they are laced the opposite way, than the newer wheels. i have a set of both
