Newswise - Does circuit weight training help with weight loss?
Weight training offers many benefits, but by itself, it won't burn enough calories to promote much weight loss, says the April issue of Mayo Clinic Women's Health Source.
Circuit weight training, a program that involves several pieces of weight-lifting equipment in sequence, improves strength and muscle endurance and helps reduce the risk of orthopedic injury or low-back pain. But, most circuit weight-training programs don't stimulate the cardiovascular system enough to be considered aerobic. An aerobic exercise raises your heart rate to a specific level for at least 20 minutes at a time.

there is only one way to lose weight and that is to consume less calories than are required by your body for it metabolic processes and activity level. that being said, there are several ways to accomplish this, the most effective long term solution being a combination approach involving caloric reduction, physical activity increase, change in nutritional content of foods (for most), and consideration of other factors, such as stress level
there is actually some truth to those stupid commercials about a hormone called cortisol. it's triggered in high stress situations and encourages fat retention rather than metabolism. however, taking a pill such as those advertised is a short sighted solution
weight training helps weight loss two ways 1)increases caloric burning; 2) increases muscle mass which burn calories even when not exercising
