Need a new Environmental Control Unit (ECU) - any recommendations?

Our beloved Axel (Chad's name for his ECU), has bit the dust. He has gone beserk! So... it's time for a new ECU. Axel served Chad faithfully for almost 10 years, so it's been awhile since he's been in the market for a new ECU. He asked me to post here and ask for advice on the latest and greatest and for what people here use - what you like, don't like, etc first before we go out and research ourselves to death.

So - words of wisdom???? Consider money a non-issue, we are going to buy whatever works best and figure it just will amortize itself out over time.

    Thanks!!!

FWIW, I've used a Mastervoice http://mastervoice.com/ since '96, used in conjunction with x-10 it's been a godsend. At my bedside, it allows me to control the HVAC(i.e., heater, a/c, right to the degree via voice), as well as the electric doorstrike i installed with it, giving me the ability to lock/unlock the entry door for my assistants, many other functions set-up but you get the idea.
I too, recently shopped around for an alternative but i was unable to find an ECU with the built-in voice-activated speakerphone, which the Mastervoice has, for the money. Many other bells and whistles.

However, fwiw, the dealer/installer i went thru in '96 now uses the Quartet system.
    Good luck,
    Jim
