ReGain program patient reunion this week

A reunion is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday for patients who have completed rehabilitation through the ReGain program The Rehabilitation Institute at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

The typical patients seen in ReGain are those who are recovering from some type of neurological condition such as a stroke, head injury or spinal cord injury. They also see patients who are dealing with diseases such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease

The program offers patients physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, neuropsychology and case management services in order to help them regain their physical independence and re-enter the community by going back to work, school, etc.

The reunion will be held in the Blue Ridge Room at the medical center's Lanier Park Campus.

Information: Melissa Tymchuk, (770) 531-3840.
