    Medicare coverage for hospital bed

Just curious for those of you who have pvt insurance and medicare. I'm having problems
with sleeping arrangements with my wife and our queen size bed. She works a swing shift 3 to midnight and I go to a morning exercise program 3 days a week from 9am to 11 am. Our problem is she's my primary caregiver and she is the one that gets me in bed after she comes home and has to get me up and out in the morning. Heres my question we have a queen size and there are times in the evening that I'll wake up in the middle of the night with an aching back and the only thing that helps is either sit up in bed or get up in my chair. Usually it turns out to be the wheelchai simple because its easier and this way the wife can go back to sleep.

If I were to have a hospital bed I would b able to raise and lower the bed and do my own bladder care. I'm just wondering if medicare would cover the purchase of a hospital bed?

I am pretty sure that medicare covers a hospital style bed. I will give them a call to see. Give me a day or so to respond (they take their time returning calls).

    Does Medicare cover self-turning mattresses?
