Team Invacare's Scott McNeice Wins Rocky Mountain Omnium Championship; Sherry Ramsey Takes Third in Women's

ELYRIA, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 2002--Team Invacare athlete Scott McNeice won the overall championship in the men's division of the United States Handcycling Federation's Rocky Mountain Omnium race series, held in Denver May 31-June 2.

McNeice claimed second place in the 10.5-mile Time Trial, with a time of 30:37, and second in the 25-mile Road Race with a time of 1:13:08. He finished first in the 30-minute Criterium, for an overall first-place score of 119.

Michel Bond of Team Invacare placed sixth overall, with a sixth-place finish in the Criterium, a seventh-place finish in 1:24:48 in the Road Race, and a 33:45 time for a fifth-place ranking in the Time Trial. Scott Gilger, also of Team Invacare, finished ninth overall.

In women's competition, Team Invacare's Sherry Ramsey finished third overall with a score of 90. She claimed third in all three individual events, with a 43:50 time in the Time Trial and a 1:53:56 finish in the Road Race.
