Dear Friends,

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unlienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

This statement is the first paragraph, and probably the most important paragraph, of our most noble document, the Declaration of Independence.

We, the people of the Disabled Community, have the right of the pursuit of happiness as well. In these days, President Bush hesitates whether to sign a bill that supports Stem Cell Research. Stem Cell Research is a key to the success of finding cure in the future. We cannot agree to go back to the dark ages, literally, where money is spent on another weapon and not on finding cures, in particular, Stem Cell Research.

Thus, everyone of us, should convince everyone else and write to the President, and to his/her Senator expressing full support in Stem Cell Research. It is our responsibility to make sure that the program of Stem Cell Research moves forward with increased support.
